Class 2 DSC

Class 2 certificates used to be issued to both business personnel and private individuals for Document Signing, GST, IT Return, ROC Return. Allthough it has been discontinued from 1st January, 2021 and replaced by Class 3 DSC.

Class 3 certificates shall now be issued to all the Individuals, Organizations, Government Bodies for Document Signing, GST, IT Return, ROC Return, e-Tendering, Import & Export effective from 1st January, 2021, by order.

DGFT stands for Directorate General of Foreign Trade. These kind of DSCs are exclusively used by Organizations to use during the foreign trade activities. It comes only with the "Signature" type DSC, with a validity of 1 or 2 years.
