What Is A
A Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) is a secure digital key (USB E-Token) issued by recognised Certifying Authorities (CAs) that contains the signature in digital format. It also includes the data of the name of the individual or organization, date of issuance of the certificate, date of expiry and the name of the Certifying Authory (CA)
Classes of
Class 2 certificates used to be issued to both business personnel and private individuals for Document Signing, GST, IT Return, ROC Return. Allthough it has been discontinued from 1st January, 2021 and replaced by Class 3 DSC.
Class 3 certificates shall now be issued to all the Individuals, Organizations, Government Bodies for Document Signing, GST, IT Return, ROC Return, e-Tendering, Import & Export effective from 1st January, 2021, by order.
